Curriculum Committee

Committee Membership and Representation:  

Appointments to the Curriculum Committee are made by the Faculty Senate President.

Committee Charge:

 Review and approve faculty course proposals, Assist faculty in curriculum review, Provide leadership in all aspects of curriculum development and assessment

Other Information:

Members of the committee are always available to faculty to assist in course proposal writing and evaluation. Members of the committee serve on review subcommittees and also various other college wide committees.

 Meets 2-3 times in the spring (March –April) to review elections process, conduct elections and count ballots.

 Recommend a strategy for Laney College to implement an information competency requirement into the graduation requirement for degree and certificate programs.  Identify and articulate selected information competency objectives into their course outlines.  Support the recommended  strategy through development and design of course assignments based on information competency objectives.
